connecticut country house

A blank slate for Becca to create a home of her own, this 1950’s Provencial inspired home had shining potential when Becca first visited it. With the layout situated on one level, the homes tall original windows cast beautiful natural light through the home from dawn to dusk. Ripping most of the floors and walls back to the studs, Becca worked to update the space and make it the home of her dreams. Honoring english influences, antique beams from a dilapadated building in Philadelphia were added to the living room that situates around an antique Italianate marble fireplace, and an antique stone trough greets guests in the powder room bath. A soft and subdued palette paired with white oak floors throughout embrace you as you wander from room to room. And a small pocket of a room has found its purpose after starting as a guest bedroom and remote office, to its final resting place as a nursery. The home holds so much love and character within its walls, and continues to embrace those that cross its threshold.
